Beata Beatrix

Synopsis

Why do those who choose to live a life to the fullest of its expressions so often find themselves losing their balance?

A dive into the decadent and visionary London of the 18th century where lawful and unlawful mingle and amalgamate in a breath of passion and excesses. Inspired by the passionate and tormented love story between the painter Dante Gabriel Rossetti and his inspiring muse, painter and poet, Elizabeth Siddal, in the setting of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.

An opportunity to investigate the creative act, the suffering that often accompanies it, and the limit that manifests itself between the creator and the work of art. An opportunity to investigate the true, overwhelming, poignant, indescribable love. The absolute love that has always been sung, which cancels the ego and smells of “creation”. Love capable of transforming the two and making the One visible.

A story told solely through the words of the protagonist, Elisabeth Siddal. In fact, all the words we hear in the short are lines from her poignant poems.
