Synopsis

This absurdist dark comedy explores grief, vengeance, consequences, and death. Hailing from Brittany, France, Jeanne de Clisson has become the most fearsome pirate of the 14th Century. She has spent years avenging the wrongful execution of her husband. Jeanne survives the battle that sunk her fleet only to encounter the Ankou, who has come to say her time is up. Unfortunately for the Ankou, Jeanne has no intention to go willingly. As they spar verbally and physically, they find they have more in common than what meets the eye. Through their game of cat-and-mouse, the Ankou forces Jeanne to face the atrocities she has committed in the name of justice. Will la tigresse bretonne outwit death? Or will she prove no match for the Ankou?
