Jacob and the quisling

Synopsis

The film takes place in the aftermath of World War II, as Norway struggles to come to grips with the treatment of our quislings and when the nations lust for revenge was overwhelmingly high. It tells the story about twelve-year old Jacob who is forced by his father to take on a job sweeping floors at the police station, where he meets a man, a quisling, who is awaiting execution. Two souls dealing with different kind of pain. And a child’s eye can see humanity where war weary men are blinded by hatred. But acting with compassion instead of hate is not without consequences.

Original/Alternative Title: Skuddene på Bergenhus
