Synopsis

in 1916, ten-year-old Lilly’s older brother, Michael, is leaving for Europe to fly against the Germans in the war and she cannot bear to see him go. In Lilly’s imaginary world, Michael has been like a daring prince from her storybook. Michael returns in his plane and takes Lilly flying to fight a fire-breathing dragon, but even in her fantasy world, Michael cannot stay for long.
