Synopsis
“My Little Shadow” is a visual choreography between two opposed parts of a same conscience. The protagonist has to come to terms with the inevitable loss of her childhood and innocence, and deal with the painful realizations of adult life. The narrator’s voice over accompanies the images throughout the entire piece, reading a letter she wrote to her young self. The words almost sound like a poem, a sweet and sometimes hurtful love song she has dedicated to purest and most innocent part of herself. The little girl that still exists, buried in the deepest part of her soul, forgotten, mistreated and betrayed for the longest time.
This metaphoric dance ends with a message of tenderness and forgiveness, the final reconciliation between two parts of herself that have lived and suffered together inside her.
