Putin & the Priest

Synopsis

Power, war and conscience. A guilt-ridden mind may destroy a man. Once strong and honorable, a person’s mind, no matter how innocent in its creation, might shatter when tempted by power. Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, goes to confession, inside the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow, Russia.
Patriarch Kirill, a priest and head of the Russian Orthodox Church, is a long time confidant of Putin, and an outspoken proponent of the invasion of Ukraine. He listens to Putin profess his philosophy and confess his sins before the Russian president is to receive holy communion the following day, Easter Sunday. They sit near lectern, not far from altar at front of the church.
