Synopsis

When cynical 17-year-old ANNE learns that her adoptive parents, LIZ and PHIL, are actually her birth parents, she sits them down at the kitchen table for a rigorous interrogation. When lie after lie fails to convince her, Anne storms off to her room. Afraid that they might lose her forever, the parents finally tell her the one story that is too awful to be an alibi: They are brother and sister and gave her away so they could later readopt her under fake names. As they explain the full story to their traumatized niece-daughter, her younger brother, CHARLIE, comes back from soccer practice and notices that something is off. Now Anne has to decide whether to tell him the family secret or to let him stay blissfully unaware…
