The Royal Theater

Synopsis

A movie theater owner and his daughter who reluctantly helps run the movie theater.
One day, a woman has a casual conversation with a male customer who doesn’t leave after the movie ends.
The man was moved by a film he saw at the Theater Royal as a child and dreamed of becoming a film director.

※The Royal Theater in Gifu Prefecture, Japan, is the only cinema in Japan that screens films daily using a 35mm projector.
We wanted to make films in which the current landscape, place, and city itself would become the main characters and remain as visual assets five or ten years later.

Original/Alternative Title: ロイヤル劇場の夢
