Synopsis

Carried by a musical improvisation, “Uncertain Body” is a poetic reflection about the fluidity and potentialities of our bodies.

Its three-movement sequence revolves around the themes of transition and the ambiguity of the in-between sexes, following a teenager, Arthur, caught in the physical and social process of coming of age.

Through the montage of photographic archives and video recordings taken over three years of his development, his body travels through ruined territories to progressively extract itself from the static and gendered image of a society still confronted with its stereotypes, in order to set itself in motion in its own reality.
Without a word being spoken, body and music complement each other to create a language of otherness.
