Synopsis

Hercules, former so called 'guest worker' in Germany, travels by bike from a rural german village to Mount Olympus, the throne of ancient deities, close to his birthplace in Greece. In the process, the legend of Hercules, as a primal myth of masculine power, is interrogated by means of biographical reflections and mythological echoes. The dramatic structure of this hero’s journey breaks up into issues of foreign male identity, ideals and remorse.
