Synopsis
Traces the development of the ancient Pueblo Indians of the Southwest. Re-enactments of lifeways and photography of the Anasazi's environment and artefacts create a sense of their development from the nomadic hunter-gatherers to the master builders of Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde. Weaving mythology, archaeology, and ethnography together, this film introduces and gives an overview of the prehistoric Anasazi culture, revered by today's Pueblo peoples of the American Southwest.
