Synopsis

Based on declassified archival material from nuclear-armed governments, the film explores the more than 2,000 nuclear tests conducted since the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The precision and control of these atomic tests have resulted in enormous arsenals of weapons of mass destruction, a latent existential threat to life on Earth, the consequence of an unstoppable arms race.
