Synopsis
In a cramped Hong Kong apartment, 25-year-old Yating cares for her single mother Meiling, who has terminal cancer. Desperate for a cure, she secretly raises a Kuman Thong spirit, an occult child-spirit charm from Thai folk belief, feeding it with her own blood and flesh. Shot as DV home video, the film follows their final days until Meiling discovers and destroys the altar. The family’s camera becomes the only witness to what answers Yating’s prayers.
