Synopsis
n March 1944, within the symbolic confines of a theater stage, a mother and daughter navigate the daily rituals of survival after a husband and father is taken away. As theatrical fiction blurs with the tragic reality of the 133 deportees from Prato, "Le restanti" uses poetic invective and archival footage to explore the thin line between private grief and universal history, asking what it truly means to be the ones left behind.
