Luca lives in a suspended limbo: a dimly lit pub where he obsessively retraces his meeting with Angelica, the only love of his life. Luca is actually a patient in a REMS (a high-security psychiatric facility), immobilized by medication and the ghosts of a past where he murdered his mother at the age of seventeen.

While his conscience, personified by a priest, desperately tries to dissuade him, Luca projects his madness onto the doctor treating him. Convinced that killing her is the only way to finally free himself from his mother's shadow, he falls into a lethal trap of repetition.
