Thirty-eight years later, Sofia is a mature, independent, and acclaimed woman, now featured in an interview about the launch of her new comic book. When the interviewer asks what inspired her to follow this path, Sofia recalls her father’s words: “Whatever you do, do it with your heart.” After the event, Sofia boards the subway. She sits next to a little girl, a younger version of herself, around seven years old. Sofia gazes at her tenderly. In the background, fragments of the interview play, echoing one final, unresolved question: We, as artists, what were we created for? In a poetic final frame, we understand that perhaps we’ll never truly know the answer.
