You And Me

You And Me

2013 • 21 min • Hong Kong
What could possibly turn a shy, quiet nerd into a voyeur? A long, lazy summer coupled with endless boredom? Sometimes through his binoculars and other times loitering on campus, a secondary student seeks to get an early taste of what university life has in store for him, dropping in on lectures, stalking the object of his gaze and lurking within her personal spaces. Feeding on a voyeuristic and borderline intrusive look into the lives of others, the voyeur remains at distance an idle walker and casual observer of a time and place charged with passion of a political (and sexual) nature, until his path crosses with hers and the two finally converge…
Dither: The D.I.Y. Sound

Dither: The D.I.Y. Sound

2013 • 36 min
Dither: The D.I.Y. Sound is not your conventional punk rock documentary. In this documentary we explore the ideologies created by cornerstones of the early punk community such as Ian Mackaye of Minor Threat, Fugazi and Dischord Records. But beyond that, we explore the communities and people that have adopted these ideologies and created their own version of what it means to be D.I.Y. This is not a documentary about just music, it's a documentary about the communities that surround the music and embrace it as a way of identification and brotherhood. But this documentary doesn't just ask questions about the culture, it asks questions about how it's possible to maintain a culture that is, at it's core, so opposite of the modern economic and social system.

La Gallina

La Gallina

2013 • 17 min
A child who ceases to be a child, a mother who goes away forever and a father who never stops possessing her, beyond life itself. THE HEN is a desire that persists in time, it is a devastating habit that degenerates to the point of turning into death. “The script, rather than being a rigorous adaptation, takes the story 'La Gallina' by Mercè Rodoreda as a sensorial reference, as a mood which one can hold onto. The film is an immersion to the symbolism of the story, it’s an adaptation that although it retains the main actions of the story, it’s especially interested in the high capacity of suggestion of the language. It's about creating a poetic universe itself, with its own visual language, at the border between dreaming and being awake and which could be able to frame a tragedy that often goes beyond reality.” Manel Raga
