Tunnel Vision

On a regular day, 1,000,000 travelers travel in Stockholm's subway. It is a myriad of lives that can be likened to blood cells in the city's system of arteries. Public transport is like a bloodstream where tunnel train drivers perform the work of the heart. It is largely their merit that the spate of people is pumped around the city's underground without stopping. Tunnel Vision is a film that wants to document and make these visible to everyday anonymous people. The shape of the film is a titled cupboard where the cab driver's cab is depicted from the front. At each station we get to meet a new driver who tells a personal little story. The stories are reinforced by different reflections that sweep across the two side windows of the cab. The tunnels of reality are slowly faded into an inner landscape of visions and passions. The various stories form a relay of associations and thoughts.

Zombies of Eureka

Lady of the Roses

"Lady of the Roses" is the name of the living memory of "Shahindokht Industrial". A lady who went to Laleh-e-Zar region of Kerman before the revolution and replaced flowers with poppies and roses with opium, and reached a point where "Gulab Zahra" changed the agricultural destiny of a region. We hear this story from Homayoun Sanati, Shahin Dokht's wife, three years after his death. The man who is the founder of "Franklin Publications", "Offset Printing House", "Pars Paper Making" and in general one of the rare figures of Iranian culture, industry and management.

Future Apocolypse

Woman Dancing on the Roof

It is the story of a woman once known from the media. She finds it easier to get undressed in front of others than to tell about the painful memories filled with solitude. However, in this documentary she is particularly open and fearless of showing her vulnerability. “In my film I tried to reveal this woman’s balancing act on the edge of a high roof, in confrontation with her own body and comprehending the surrounding world quite differently,” – revealed director J. Lapinskaitė.

Blue Covers

When the adult survivor of sexual abuse meets her lover, she struggles to remain present. She must remember that the hands of her lover are not the hands of her childhood abuser, and so, the separation between past and present begins to blur. Narrative and experimental, "Blue Covers" is an emotional, psychological and spiritual journey. A compelling look at the effects of sexual trauma, this short film is for survivors of abuse and those who care for them.

Getijden

'Getijden' consists of 8 parts, a carousel of images and sounds revolving in a mysterious parallel world, and filled with different emotions and states-of-mind; longing, passion, liberation, drive, dedication, realisation, transformation and reflection. The making of this film was like weaving a Persian carpet. Spread out over a period of two years I lived with this project, the filming was done in different seasons on carefully chosen locations and days. The complete crew and cast consisted of two people, a performance in itself. The eight different parts are shot on a variety of film emulsions, each with a specific characteristic. The raw material is digitally mastered and manipulated. The film has a peculiar structure, no beginning-middle-end but, eight parts that form a cycle. A short film, an endless film. (Karel Doing)
