The narrator moves through issues of sex work, queer and feminine identity, class, immigration, consumerism, global health and quality of life. The dense narration is juxtaposed against a voyeuristic, bird’s eye view of a female bondage model struggling to be free from the ropes that bind her. Originally shot on black and white Super 8 film, this four and a half minute video invites its audience to question ourselves and the world we live in.

This documentary focuses on a little-known episode in the recent history of Uruguay: how hundreds of Uruguayan citizens took refuge in the Mexican embassy at the time of the military dictatorship. Between 1975 and 1976, Mexico was the only country whose embassy gave shelter to people persecuted by the regime, and this sparked off a difficult period in the relations between the two nations. We learn about conditions at the embassy at that time and how the fugitives lived. Sixteen of the men and women involved talk about what that period was like and the events that led up to this confrontation between the two countries. The documentary is also a homage to the Mexican ambassador, don Vicente Muñoz Arroyo.

Two uruguayan lawmakers Zelmar Michelini and Héctor Gutiérrez Ruiz, were looking for a democratic outcame for Uruguay, governed by militars. Those lawmakers were part of an important movement that worked against the uruguayan dictatorship. Michelini and Guitérrez were tortured and ejecuted with Rosario Barredo and William Whitelaw, two members of the Tupamaros guerrilla. The crime was one of the first examples of the Condor Plan, that the dictatorships of South America coordinated to elminate all kind of political opponents.

Mandiyú is a group of small milk producers who are landless. In 2007 they finally ran out of patience waiting for an official ruling about a plot of land, and as there was no response from the Institute of Colonisation they occupied an unproductive space belonging to the Uruguayan state. This documentary tells the story of these workers and their families.
