Each year, at the start of the fall school year in September, Japan suffers from typhoons. That same month, in a small elementary school in a mountainous region, Saburô, a new red-haired pupil has just arrived with the wind. The children of the village thought they recognized in this strange boy who came from the city the spirit that they called “Matasaburô, the wind”. During two weeks of autumn, Matasaburô and the other children will do various experiments in nature.

Hamtaro: Miracle in Aurora Valley

Legendary hamsters of the winter called Snow Hams live here. The Ham-Hams are told that it has not snowed in the village for a long time. The Snow Hams are troubled because it is hot even though it is winter. They also say that Snow Princess Bijou is the one who can help. But, Bijou is kidnapped by a mysterious pirate ship! Pirate Hams who hate the cold start to interfere in order to prevent snowing. The Ham-Hams picket against the captain of the pirate ship to get Bijou back. The talks with the pirates result in the decision to put Bijou on the line in a Ham-Ham Grand Prix. The competition between Hamtaro and the captain consists of running, skiing, Formula car racing and others. Can Hamtaro win the Grand Prix and save Bijou?

Dan Cruickshank smells the rotting food and warms his hands by the roaring fires and asks whether this living museum is really more accurate than a National Trust treasure, or just an eccentric one-off from its outlandish Californian creator, the late Dennis Severs. A follow-up of sorts to the 1985 BBC series Ours to Keep episode "Incomers" focused on this residence.

Looks at the stereotype-breaking films of the period from 1929, when movies entered the sound era, until 1934 when the Hays Code virtually neutered film content. No longer portrayed as virgins or vamps, the liberated female of the pre-code films had dimensions. Good girls had lovers and babies and held down jobs, while the bad girls were cast in a sympathetic light. And they did it all without apology.

Henry Ford, the legendary automobile manufacturer, James D. Mooney, the GM manager and Tom Watson, the IBM boss, were all awarded the Grand Cross of the German Eagle, the Nazis' highest distinction for foreigners, by Hitler for their services to the Third Reich. At this time, in 1937 and 1938, Hitler's armaments industry was running at full speed. The German subsidiaries of these American companies - Opel, the Ford Werke AG and Dehomag - had willingly allowed themselves to be integrated into the "Führer's" war preparations. The film concentrates on the companies which were indispensable for Hitler to wage war. The documentary is supported by new archive material, as well as interviews with contemporary witnesses and experts.
