This imaginative, experimental work investigates the growing feminization of the global economy and its impact on Mexican women living and working in the area. Looking at the border as both a discursive and material space, the video explores the sexualization of the border region through labor division, prostitution, the expression of female desires in the entertainment industry, and sexual violence in the public sphere.

A delighted Yoh goes out to meet the person to thank him. The person was a woman called Tomomi, also a student studying abroad. Despite meeting each other for the first time, their conversation is lively and Yoh immediately falls in love with her. When Tomomi told him she wanted to see him again, he gave her his pager number. The next day, Yoh sends a message to her pager.

In a town where the weather forecast always ends with an announcement about a 'dull rain', people live their lives constantly worrying about the rain. The 'dull rain' is said to be the vapour that forms when a substance called H.U.A.N. in the air combines with another substance called Violence (VIOLENCE), which rises into the sky and forms clouds. However, neither clouds nor rain is visible to the human eye, nor do we know what happens when they fall.

Alone in his room, a man exposes his meagre body to muscle training. Shadowboxing, strengthening his abdominal muscles with equipment bought by mail order, repetitive lateral jumps... Is he a young man who wants to be a boxer? No, he has no intention of becoming a professional boxer or a macho man. He has only one goal: to rob the bride at the forthcoming wedding of his girlfriend, who three years ago went to the dump in her own jeans and never came back. Since the day he received her invitation to the wedding, he has been steadily preparing himself to direct and star in the best bride-stealing act of his life. He had to build up his body, decide on the route, check his movements, practise his lines, arrange a black Porsche, a white tuxedo and some cool shoes... The plan was complete and the day of the ceremony finally arrived. He leaves the house with a bat in his bouquet. Cool, man. But will the plan work?

High above the city that shimmers like a distant sea, a boy kicks a plastic bottle half full of liquid up a steep shanty road of light and dark. A norteño song plays somewhere. A truck passes. The challenge is to get to the top of the hill by kicking the bottle steadily upwards, intercepting it as it rolls back, kicking it again, playing with and against gravity. The bottle drifts and dodges, zigs and zags, is briefly kidnapped by a dog. At the end, the Sisyphean stakes of the game become clear as the bottle gets away and with a groan the boy runs downhill after it.

Prey are constantly finding new ways to avoid being eaten by predators it is thus crucial for the predators survival that he too finds mechanisms to outsmart his prey- it's an ever-evolving world on the African Savannah. This show examines this evolutionary process - are predators today fitter, faster and stronger than their predecessors? What gives one animal the edge over another? And how much of the animals behaviour is instinctive and how much is learnt? It's a fine balance out on the Savannah grasslands- a world that demands the very best from predator and prey.
