Julia Benz: Everything Amazing - Nobody Happy

Painting, the process and what actually happens before the work is complete. Julia Benz is a young painter who has been living in Berlin for two years now. Painting is the center of her life. After several exhibits outside the capital, she is now preparing for her first solo exhibition at the Urban Spree gallery in Berlin. One person, one exhibit and everything in between. Andreas Lamoth and Frederic Leitzke from editude pictures, a film production company from Berlin, accompanied Julia Benz and her work with the canvas in the two weeks leading up to the start of her exhibition, in order to record a very important part of her artistic work: the process.

This short film was shot with a Super 8 camera during a photo session with butoh dancer Riko Murakami, and part of the film was developed by Caffenol. The soundtrack was created by Michael Lyons and Paule Dahlstedt using the optoelectronic device Octopus. Riko dances. It was just a daydream. The white-painted skin stands out in the vague twilight.

This personal film is made up of landscape photos from the archive of the director's father, through which he returns to his life while exploring the material possibilities for creating "landscapes": the film itself is exposed to the effects of yeast, salt, leaves and seaweed. By reacting with the film emulsion, each foreign element creates a new and different image quality, while the noise on the soundtrack underscores the fragility of incomplete memories.

Making matters worse, his nemesis at the office (Lola, a vixen who both intimidates and arouses Ira) threatens to take over his job and maybe even his girlfriend too if he can't man up to the tasks at hand. His life becomes a cacophony of crisis as Ira struggles to integrate his physical, mental, and spiritual selves into a unified and coherent identity

The esteem and importance given to kola brought about myths, narratives, and rituals to protect it. The rituals involved in cutting down a kola nut tree not only speak to the essence of Nso culture, but also to what the Nso can teach the rest of us (particularly the West) about the creation and upholding of value and meaning.""Kumbo Kola" meanders through Kumbo and Nso culture, focusing on kola nuts and palm wine, death and jujus. It also visits the highlands for a comparison of the Nso and kola to the Mbororo (a local Fulani tribe) and their cattle culture, and ventures to Oku to see how they saved not only their kola nut trees but their native forest.

This video works with binaural beats. The frequency used is 528 Hz Bell's theorem is a no-go theorem that draws an important distinction between quantum mechanics and the world as described by classical mechanics. In its simplest form, Bell's theorem states: No physical theory of local hidden variables can ever reproduce all of the predictions of quantum mechanics. Bell inequalities concern measurements made by observers on pairs of particles that have interacted and then separated. Assuming local realism, certain constraints must hold on the relationships between the correlations between subsequent measurements of the particles under various possible measurement settings.
