Using the Zapruder footage of the Kennedy assassination, the Maysles brothers, 'Gimme Shelter' and a television series opening credit sequence as a conceptual framework 'Dramatis Personae' examines the Black Star Agency's photographic archive during the time of the artist's coming to consciousness in the 1960's. The source material signals the search for meaning in the precise moment the bullet enters Kennedy and leaves the world in shock and as we watch Jagger as he tries to find the instant the knife kills the Woodstock Nation.

A reflection on the material, on the filmic support. Strips of figures wander, fluxuate in the whirling kinetic rhythms imposed on them. These faces, these dispersed shattered bodies result from contacts (this is where they "touch") made by old photographic plates and anonymous fragments of film; everything is set onto and into a spiral.

The conventional use of parallax in 3d media presumes a coherent Cartesian space. The meshing and sequential dissolving of varying perspectives and disparate spaces in Occupy Image destabilizes the illusion and expectation of space. What is expressed in its place is an expanded sense of parallax in regards to depth perception. One where depth is a negotiation of difference to be perceived by combining the here with a formally unrelated there, and there and so on.

Situated at the geographic centre of Canada, Baker Lake, Nunavut is the only inland settlement in the Canadian Arctic. Fixing its gaze on this stark landscape, McIntyre's haunting and sparse film uses hand-wrought black-and-white 16mm film in a meditation on place and personal histories.

But at night’s end, the stage is cleared, the familiar Eurovision song fades, the choreography is completed, the audience departs, and the magic disappears … to reveal a gray reality. Miki, a married teacher, wants to have a baby but fears growing up and giving up the stage. Eran, the group’s founder, struggles with bankruptcy, a life spent living with his mother, and repeated rejection in Tel Aviv’s gay bubble. His only comfort is the stage. Irit, an attractive 20-something and Eran’s best friend, soothes his loneliness. She is always there, but secretly knows she will never find herself a straight guy so long as she plays house with a gay one. And Ben, focused on finding a decent job, can’t help but be distracted by his real lifelong dream: seeing a Eurovision contest live!

Close the Lid Gently is a video made entirely from 2 home desktop scanners- one a photo scanner, the other a refurbished low end document scanner. Each has it's own texture and sees the domestic environment in it's own particular way, one scan at a time. The 'narrator' is taken from the sound of an instructional software disk, which accompanied one of the scanners. This piece is deals with the deliberate misuse/re-purposing of commercial image producing machines and celebrates a slow, individual, low end, approach to the motion picture making process.

Starting with a provocative title, two young directors from Tuscany Laura Landi and Giovanna Selis set out to show how the lesbian community in Italy must still fight against homophobic taboos. What emerges, above all, is the widespread attitude which denies and ignores, sometimes excluding, the existence of the "L World", which is doomed to invisibility. It's no accident that one of the girls interviewed in the film declares, "Actually, it's like lesbians do not exist". She thus highlights the existence of a psychological repression in public awareness, in which homosexual women have been shut up. A succession of voices and stories, dealing with GLBT parenting and relationship with their own parents, discrimination and affection. The film includes some brief sketches by Le brugole (The Allen Keys), the female cabaret duo who have performed on the TV comedy show "Zelig Off". A successful example of a low-budget production, financed by crowdfunding.

Fabi is going to a party with Benni against his better know and it comes to a violent argument with Benni's friend Maik about Fabi's homosexuality. Benni has to make his choice between keeping his secret or defending Fabi against Maik.
