From a photograph of his childhood, Luis Eduardo Aute glances back to discover what remains in him of those eyes of a child with which he looked at the sea. With the battle of Manila as the setting, a bloody contest that claimed the lives of more than a hundred thousand people, the author remembers the boy who was and how, from that tragic experience, the figure of the basilisk began to stalk him, a being mythological in the form of a winged serpent capable of killing with its eyes, representing the adult world, degradation and death.

It was time most commonly associated with masculinity. However, in A Woman Scorn'd we find ourselves amongst the outlaws with a strong female protagonist named Emil. In this feminist/queer western we follow Emil through her betrayal at the hands of her own gang, left with more wounds than physical, she finds herself in the company of a young runaway named Henry. With a dark past of his own, the two set off in search of in search of recovery, and revenge against the infamous Saul Chahill.

The Pride World

Different from his previous works, this two-channel video is projected onto the Chinese traditional Xuan paper - Jia Xuan. The black and white image and the natural texture of Jia Xuan paper create a unique visceral sensation. It triggers and foregrounds a special nostalgic sentiment from the video’s characters and environment.
