Beer Culture the Movie tells the story of the hardworking men and women in the Colorado Craft Beer culture as they come together to defeat legislation that could greatly harm the successful craft beer industry within the state.

The Florestine Collection

Experimental Animator Helen Hill found more than 100 handmade dresses in a trash pile on one Mardi Gras Day in New Orleans. She set out to make a film about the dressmaker, an African-American seamstress who had recently passed away. The dresses and much of the film footage were later flood-damaged by Hurricane Katrina while Helen was still working on the film. Helen was murdered in a home invasion in New Orleans in 2007. Her husband Paul Gailiunas has completed the film, which includes Helen's original silhouette, cut-out, and puppet animation, as well as flood-damaged and restored home movies.

A correspondence film: rolls of high contrast black and white film were sent back and forth in the mail over the course of a year until the film began to reveal itself as a science non-fiction fairy tale, a speculative quest – circling and searching, falling and landing, entering and exiting – to recapture elisions in light caught within and between seasons, states, planes and worlds.

A film about Florida's little-known investigative committee of the State Legislature from 1956-1964. The committee's aim was to root out homosexual teachers and students from state universities and it was successful in either firing or expelling more than 200 suspected gays and lesbians. The film features two victims and one interrogator who have never before spoken publicly about their experiences. It culminates in a 50-year reunion between victim and interrogator.

Pauline at the Beach, the Others in the Corridor

Variation on a fixed sequence of a corridor taken from Erick Rohmer’s Pauline à la Place. At the end of the corridor, there is a door that one can open or shot. This door and the action around it is the focus point to Rohmer’s film. In mine, the plot focus more specifically on the left door, the one we won’t see on screen.

The Taste of Salt

At Ngay Ngay, a village in northern Senegal, there are real natural evaporative basins in which depending on the year large or small quantities of sea salt dry out. Located 15 kilometres from Saint-Louis, the village is living around a complex community organisation: men divide the salt fields into plots, and women are those who harvest. In the end, the men receive a share of the crop, while women are those who took great pains over the harvesting.

Triangle: Remembering the Fire

On March 25, 1911, a catastrophic fire broke out at the Triangle Waist Company in New York City. Trapped inside the upper floors of a ten-story building, 146 workers - mostly young immigrant women and teenage girls - were burned alive or forced to jump to their deaths to escape an inferno that consumed the factory in just 18 minutes. It was the worst disaster at a workplace in New York State until 9/11. The tragedy changed the course of history, paving the way for government to represent working people, not just business, for the first time, and helped an emerging American middle class to live the American Dream.
