In the midst of the chaos and confusion of a zombie outbreak three lone survivors rush to the final evacuation point with one of their own injured and the hordes of the reanimated in close pursuit. Left behind, alone, and abandoned by the authorities, the three survivors must deal with the multitude of ravenous undead just steps behind them.

Videolência tells us about two film collectives in São Paulo and reflects on the production of popular films from the periphery, intertwined with representations linked to said periphery and violence as a whole. The film is made from interviews with various members of the collectives and visual essays portraying the periphery and its (sometimes fantasized) intersection with violence.

The prairie lands once covered a third of all of America. Over time, these grasslands have been drastically reduced in size and pushed back by agricultural lands. Life on the prairie also suffered. However, this prairie life is on the rise and the prairie dog plays an important key role. These small and sometimes funny prairie residents ensure healthy grasslands and help provide food for other animals on the prairie such as the bison. The film follows the lives of the prairie dogs and their closest neighbors.

Giri translates as ‘duty’ in Japanese, but the concept is in fact far more complicated. Giri is a sort of interpersonal political capital that informs careers, family relations, and much more. Its presence and flow is palpable in Japan, where this film was shot. A “giri chit” then may be a hypothetical voucher for this intangible flow (with a tip of the cap to Thomas Pynchon’s “Vineland”). On the 6th November 2007, High Speed 1 (HS1) was delivered to the nation. Britain had finally got its first new railway for over a century, and was fully connected to the rapidly expanding European high-speed rail network.

The Association for the Recovery of the Historical Memory of Valladolid develops the project "All the names", which has as one of its main objectives the location and recovery of the bodies of all those Valladolid citizens murdered by Franco's repression.

A brief trip to the Miami '09 art festival was the moving (or swimming) force to instigate this travelogue. There are some bathing sequences sprinkled about and lots of munching going on in this latest addition to my Christmas video series. There's even a Santa Claus figure trodding across sand instead of snow; but don't let that dismaying personage in shades of gray discolor an otherwise plentiful poo-poo platter of pulchritude.

This video diary/travelogue centers on a tropical trip to Acapulco where yours truly hits both sand and surf with maximum impact. The actual movie that's being documented throughout this video bit the dust via a hard-drive malfunction, so this is almost all that remains (so far) of the doomed yet enjoyable venture. We all donned bathing suits and splashed our way through heaven and hell as Miguel Calderon directs the cursed venture in skimpy attire amid other scantily clad examples of electro-graphic expertise. Come on: bring the lubricant and join this motley crew of Mexican magnificence as they bask their beauty in the rays of merciless magic that rain down on our parade.

A small steppe town in the Volga region. Old wooden houses in the center, rotting Khrushchev on the outskirts. Provincial boredom and hopelessness are opposed by two people, an Orthodox priest and a choir director, she is also a Sunday school teacher. The situation might seem normal, if not for one circumstance. The priest is a Frenchman, a former Catholic monk who converted to Orthodoxy. The regent is an Englishwoman, a philologist, and a former Protestant. They are in love with Russia and believe that it is here that they have found their place on Earth.

Zimnik is a temporary road formed when the river freezes. But for the heroes of the film, the local residents, strong and stubborn men, this is a life-long road.
