"In this film I began to experiment more with creating mats with liquid latex directly on the film emulsion then bleaching of all the excess image around the latex and using the clear bleached sections of film as a canvas to paint my film poem I used special inks that were custom made just for me called Keneville Dyes I then to re-photographed it all on my beloved JK optical printer. I also created this films sound design."

George was an attempt to reconsider the basic components of my approach to filmmaking and boil them down to their bare essentials. The act of looking is implicit in my past documentary work but in this study it becomes the focus. The starting point for the film was the area that I was born and still reside in; the west end of Glasgow and its conjunction with the location where the film was first installed; a flat in Garnethill. The walk between these locations, and also central to the film is, through the St. George’s X area. The film deals with the relationship between sounds and images, acoustic phenomena and architectural details.

Lady Trojans is a 60-minute documentary about a girls' high school basketball team in 1990's Tucson, AZ. The story focuses on Anna, star player and one of the group who identified as lesbians who made up the majority of the team for the four years that she played. Anna and her teammates took the risk to explore their sexuality, figuring out if they were gay, straight, or bi, by fooling around, dating, and falling in love with each other. Through current interviews with the Lady Trojans, archival VHS home movies from their high school escapades, reenactments, archival photographs, and original animation, Lady Trojans explores teen sexuality, manipulation, and love, coming out and coming of age.

Leonel listens to his favorite programs by Cristobal Cohen and Marcelo Hermosilla, that accompany him on this route while he ponders ideas regarding his life: his sadly abandoned childhood, his views about the governments of Allende and Pinochet, his being detained under the “suspicion of being a communist“, and his every-day struggle to survive which he considers would have been better had it ended after the military coup d’ etat.
