They decided not to buy any items for 3 months and instead adopt a "freegan" lifestyle. All food, clothes, furniture and everything else was found discarded and perfectly fine in the trash. Many other scavengers were also identified, ranging from students to doctors to artists.

Synopsis In Latin America, the 70s and 80s were years darkened by military dictatorships, which forced a policy of terror and extermination. Many of those who lived their childhood during that period have a personal history built as an extremely complex plot. Grito works with throbbing autobiographical memories and Images that resound in the head and block the throat. It is the last step in a series of audiovisual reflections about the relationship between identity, ideology and affection. A Super-8mm and a low-quality digital video entwine in the anachronistic construction of the familiar recollection.

At its core, the film examines the psychological and existential burden of exile, especially through the lens of names and identity. Several of the film’s protagonists have lived under pseudonyms for decades, adopting fictional names to survive politically, socially, or artistically in a country that is not their own.

He makes vulgar trash the basis for his art, out of objects considered useless he builds sound sculptures with which he performs on stage, in concerts and in workships. Born in Viana do Castelo, he left early to discover other universes, but it was in Berlin that he settled and built his sound workshop. Without an instruction manual he slides some sounds over others and travels and it's a very peaceful journey.
