Former governor Arthur A. Link has become virtually a mythic figure in the North Dakota consciousness. Art Link was governor of North Dakota during the first great energy crisis in the 1970s. On October 11, 1973, Governor Link delivered what is widely regarded as North Dakota's "Gettysburg address". His credo, written in the margins of his prepared speech moments before he was introduced, is known by its opening phrase: "When the landscape is quiet again." This is the story of that man, that speech, and the landscape that inspired it.

2008 release

On October 26th, 2008, H.E.A.T. fans witnessed a rare and unexpected show at Firefest, Nottingham. The band had been brought in as a last-minute replacement for Pretty Maids, who were grounded by flight cancellations. Just two days before the concert, frontman Kenny Leckremo required heart surgery, leaving H.E.A.T. without a singer. Stepping up was Eclipse’s Erik Martensson, who handled several H.E.A.T. songs and a cover of Europe’s “Cherokee,” before Pekka Heino of Leverage and Brother Firetribe joined for Whitesnake’s “Fool For Your Loving” and Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer.” Erik then returned for a duet on Journey’s “Separate Ways,” closing the night with H.E.A.T.’s “Never Let Go.” Setlist: "There for You", "Late Night Lady", "Straight for Your Heart", "Cherokee" (Europe cover), "Fool For Your Loving" (Whitesnake cover), "Livin' on a Prayer" (Bon Jovi cover), "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" (Journey cover), "Never Let Go"

The infamous Gorgoroth gig in Krakow, Poland! Gorgoroth, Norwegian black metal band, drew the attention of the international media in early 2004 after their show in Krakow. They were accused of "offending religious feelings" during the gig, as well as suspected of breaching Polish law concerning the protection of animal rights by using severed and impaled heads of sheep as part of their stage design.

American archaeologist John Bellezza joins Tibetan historian Tsering Gyalpo in telling the story of how the Guge Kingdom came to flourish and then collapse. During the great wave of immigration, 22 medical buildings sprawled across two islands adjacent to Ellis Island, the largest port of entry to the United States. Massive and modern, the hospital was America's first line of defense against contagious, often virulent, disease. In the era before antibiotics, tens of thousands of immigrant patients were separated from family, detained in the hospital and healed from illness before becoming citizens. FORGOTTEN ELLIS ISLAND is a powerful reminder of the best -- and worst -- of America's dealings with its new citizens-to-be. Elliott Gould narrates.
