In cities like Valladolid, one of the biggest in Spain, the mayors (who carry out civil marriages) made an appeal against the implementation of the law. However, mayor Francisco Maroto from Campillo de Ranas, a small village of a hundred inhabitants deep in the mountains of Guadalajara, stepped forward and said: 'I marry'.

These three short films consist of perceptive depictions of a public square in Lima, the view from his mother's rooftop, and work at the Toronto Film Festival revision department. The filmmaker used 16 mm as documentary format. Each film in this series is almost three-minutes long, which is the length of one roll of 16 mm film. The entire film uses in-camera editing, therefore all the editing decisions were made on location.

Inspired by Beat Poet Ed Dorn's assertion that a poem is a 'document,' "Universe of Broken Parts" reflects Richard Kerr's interest in the poetics of image and sound. Transitioning from a balletic dance of shadows playing basketball, to pure abstraction of shape and colour, and cresting with images of police in riot gear, UNIVERSE amalgamates Kerr's painterly and documentarian impulses into a contrapuntal, yet fluid whole.

Abstract audio-generated waveform patterns from an oscilloscope and modified TV, were filmed with super-8 and then treated with bleach and vinegar. The electronic music features a special Hellitron photocell audio generator which reacts to varying amounts of light in the film. Soundtrack: Hellitron 10.

First Flight of Vulcan XH558

The aviation heritage will never forget Thursday October 18th, 2007. The awesome sight of the mighty Cold War aircraft taking to the air powered by its four huge Rolls Royce Olympus engines brought tears to the eyes of all who saw it and generated spontaneous applause not only across Bruntingthorpe Airfield but around the aerospace world. After two years of restoration and over 10 years of planning and persuading, Vulcan XH558 finally leapt in to the air. This Souvenir DVD documents the memorable day and will last as a permanent record of a unique and historic achievement.
