This film captures an incredible Genesis performance as they headlined at Knebworth in 1978. As well as content from the festival there is also footage of Genesis at the sound check as they run through their then current single "Many Too Many". Featured from the Genesis set that evening is a full performance of "The Lady Lies" from their album of the time "Then There Were Three". The film also takes a revealing look at the stage and sound system assembly during the week leading up to the concert and how the British weather can often make open air festival promoters in the UK suffer. There is also an exclusive and in depth interview with promoter Freddy Bannister who gives an insight on what it was like to stage the one day event; just one of a series of hugely successful Knebworth Festivals that he promoted during the seventies.

Family of Da Mashi

The family of Da Mashi (Nu ethnic group) has lived on the cliff of Nujiang for 100 years. To plant potatoes on the slope, the local people have to place a fistful of weed with the potato; otherwise it will roll down from the slope into the river. Nujiang had been beyond social revolution, with no contact with the outside world but the annual relief by the government until the 1990s. In addition, having been isolated for a long time, the Nu people believe that Gods exist in the mountains, rivers and brushwood. In 2000, with the promotion of the national poverty support policy and ecological protection policy in the Three Parallel River Area, Da Mashi's family was faced with a new option for survival. That's intriguing.

Ra Ra Riot. Such an appropriate name. The cheerleader-esque "Ra ra" chant evokes images of high school, all of which can be found in this youthful band. You've got your photogenic prom queens on violin and cello. Your shaggy-haired Drama Club Stud on vocals. Your lovable athletic jock on drums. Your wacky class clowns on guitar and bass. And there's the "Riot" part, which comes close to describing this six-piece's blend of controlled chaos. The songs combine distorted guitar, fat bass, keyboards, orchestrated strings, and vocals. Mix the Arcade Fire with Devo and some coverpage-worthy good looks, and you wouldn't be too far from Ra Ra Riot's enjoyable racket.
