There comes a time when all wild babies feel the urge to step away from the confines of the nursery, to stretch their legs and overcome the restrictions of their environment. Whether this means simply learning to stand on one's own feet or coming to grip with new experiences, all wild babies need to progress to self-sufficient adults. Growing up is not all fun and games, babies face many dangers and must be patient and diligent in their lessons in order to attain that all important independence.

In this film everything is in constant motion: the water, the light, waves and wind. The elements cross and confront each other here, and as this happens, the colours and sounds are set in motion too. This project started as an idea for a 'simple' film: frame, material and sound were designed as simply as possible.

Could Professor Jose Torero's fire protection system have saved the Twin Towers? When a fire gets out of control in a skyscraper it tests fire fighters to their limits. Predicting how a fire is behaving high up in a building is almost impossible. The fire fighters who entered the Twin Towers on 11 September 2001 could only guess at what was happening almost 1000 feet above them. That fateful day brought about the death of 343 New York fire fighters. Jose Torero believes fire fighters need not be put in such danger and that new technology could have saved many of the 343 fire fighters who died doing their duty that day. He believes he could even have saved the Twin Towers. He has spent the last ten years developing a system that could change the way fires are fought forever. It's called Firegrid. It's a revolutionary approach to fire fighting that could save thousands of lives, giving man the upper hand on one of his oldest enemies.

An episode in Soda_Jerk's multi-channel digital-video installation cycle entitled "Astro Black". Destination Planet Rock maps the intergalactic legacy of Sun Ra and George Clinton in the sci-fi futurism of early hip-hop. Set in 1974 in the South Bronx, the episode be-gins in a neighborhood center where Sun Ra is explain-ing his ideas about the intersection of race, myth and outer space. The three future originators of hip-hop—DJ Kool Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, and Grandmaster Flash—are abducted and transported across the galaxy to Planet Rock, where they are schooled in the alien language of turntablism.

Wir bitten dich, verführe uns! (We beg you to seduce us! ) is a travel through a young woman's mind that is strung out between old victorian virtues and a contemporary life style. We find ourselves in Surrealistic settings and expressionistic film inspired worlds, that reminiscence eclectically of films like Wiene's The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1919), Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge (2001) and Maddin's The Saddest Music in the World (2003). The main character is played by the artist Carola Schmidt herself. In the film she is presenting the artist as a sinner, as someone who is emprisoned, struggeling with social adaptability and conventions. Schmidt looks at a drawing of a staircase that is perfectly identical with a staircase in the film and thereby creates confusement about who or what is in control. Schmidt is insinuating that what we see is already a plan, but leaves it up to the viewer to decide whether it is destiny or subjective control.

Bingbing, a kind policewoman, helps Byeong-seo, who is in trouble after dropping the boom under the wall, and she guides Byeong-seo to her favorite dumpling shop. There, he meets Sun Ying, who has a crush on Bing Bing, and Bing Bing and Sun Ying develop feelings for each other due to Byeong Seo's mistake. Footage of the Hampton Court Palace maze, established in 1689 and perhaps the most famous existing maze in the world, is contrasted with Anishinabe petroforms found in Manitoba’s Whiteshell area. The English, mannered, controlled hedges are designed to limit sight; the rocks of the Canadian Shield, arranged in patterns of turtles, snakes and humans, were created to inspire teaching and healing. Finnigan interrogates the wisdom of the colonizing versus the colonized culture.

7/7 Ripple Effect is a 57-minute homemade film about 7 July 2005 London bombings, produced and narrated by John Hill. The film disputes the official account of events, a terrorist attack on public transport in Central London, by four suicide bombers later named as Hasib Hussain, Germaine Lindsay, Shehzad Tanweer and Mohammad Sidique Khan. Hill released the film under the pseudonym "Muad'Dib", the name of a character from the Dune books.

In this short film Mark, Chuck, Guy Fletcher, Glen, Danny and all the band give the back-story behind the writing and recording of Mark’s fifth solo album. This album entered the Billboard charts at number 26 and peeked at number 9 in the UK, and went to top 5 in many other European countries.
