This is a documentary about the provocative American cartoonist John Callahan. At the age of 21 Callahan got involved in a serious car-accident and was paralyzed from the waist down. Drawing cartoons has become his way to express himself although he can hardly use his hands. With a raw style, pen clutched between his hands, he draws cynical and ruthless observations of mankind. His work is praised and criticised. Callahan has provoked protest-marches and receives many angry letters. He was fired at The Miami Herald journal after drawing a cartoon in honour of Martin Luther King Jr. Day; a little boy with a wet spot on his pyjamas saying: "Mommie I had a dream".

They were members of the pacifist group Las Abejas (The Bees), who were supporters of the revolutionary Zapatistas but renounced their violent methods. The investigation into their deaths quickly went suspiciously cold. Scottish documentary maker Nick Higgins, an expert on Mexican culture and politics and the author of Understanding the Chiapas Rebellion, attains unprecedented access to the place, the people, and the story behind a barely-reported atrocity.

On January 1st of 2007, Mekas began his epic "365" project inspired by the Italian poet Petrarca and his Canzoniere. Releasing one film for every day of the year through his website, Mekas drew upon a vast archive of film and video footage recorded over the past decades, as well as new material from his everyday life. The "365" project painted an intimate portrait of Mekas' life, friends and travels, in the poignant diaristic style which he has come to embody. The project attracted a strong international following and prompted many filmmakers around the world to begin their own "365" film and video projects. March 16, 2007: "I take Helsinki-Tampere train.
