In addition, an overview of HIV/AIDS given by a health care professional distinguishes the virus from the syndrome, explains how HIV is contracted and transmitted, and promotes protected and informed sex for sexually active students, debunking a variety of myths along the way.

Snap

Snap

2006 • 5 min
Snap is a taut, minimalist work that explores the aesthetics of digital video production. Fingers and hands in close-up move fast, then slowly, to a soundtrack of stylized clicks and snaps, while intermittent flares of color burn through the original black and white footage. Snap pushes figure and sound toward abstraction in an inventive, considered, and pleasurable exploration of moving image technology.

The fun and melee begins as ridiculous fights, childish dialogue, and colorful costumes
Bolerium

Bolerium

2006 • 23 min
"Bolerium" captures a day-in-the-life at one of America's most important independent bookstores - Bolerium Books - run from a hidden location in the heart of San Francisco's immigrant/radical Mission District. This 23 minute portrait is a humorous exploration of the store, its diverse staff and the wild array of customers who frequent its shelves. Filmed in a handheld style, the documentary captures the caffeinated energy that has driven this store for the last 25 years. A whirlwind of activity, Bolerium Books is dedicated to preserving the history of the world's social movements. They house the largest collections of Gay & Lesbian, Chicano and Spanish Civil War materials in the United States. Trotskyism is the fastest selling section in the store, but they have also sold thousands of Gay Pulp novels and Black Panther posters.
Morphing

Morphing

2006 • 3 min • Spain
Morphing is a spectacular digital technique for producing animated films in which two apparently unrelated elements are transformed one into the other before our very eyes. This video is based on the piece Homo-Felis in which the photograms of a morph between a cat and a human being were created physically one-by-one and then reconstructed with traditional animation techniques.

A killer stalks the streets of a re-imagined 19th-century slum, preying on women, on the ragged prostitutes who walk the alleys at night. Once they meet 'Jack,' however, their street walking nights are brought to a most gruesome and unusual end. Though the murderer bears only a passing resemblance to his more infamous London counterpart, the exploits of Jack the Vomiter will certainly be well remembered in the annals of crime history. Jack himself will see to that - as he leaves his unique calling card at the scene of each new slaying.
