The abstruse title "Wk=mMv2/2" is the physical equation for a molecule's kinetic energy, and it refers to the images shown in the film: They were created by zooming at coincidentally photographed individuals on postcards. As a result of the extreme enlargement, the grid of the cards' printing is made clearly visible and the figures, many of which are only a few millimeters high in the original, are greatly abstracted.

Shot during a workshop at the Laban Dance Centre in London, the film explores some of the visual opportunities offered by the architecture and participants without dwelling on formal dance movement. The ‘Framework’ section uses a 4×3 space frame to create a ‘camera space’ which plays against the architecture and movement of performers. In ‘Window’ performers are both illuminated and reflected as they move beside the translucent window.

As in All Together Now, Masters has no dialogue or clear narrative arc, and while the domestic activities seem everyday, they are infused with suggestions of violence and danger.

In 2006 lugar a dudas and Centro Cultural de Cali in Cali, Colombia invited the visual artists Todd Ayoung and Carlos Andrade to participate in a workshop with local Cali artists. The workshop titled "Convergencia" was part of an artists residency at lugar a dudas (place of doubt) with Todd Ayoung and Carlos Andrade, and resulted in a collective exhibition at Centro Cultural de Cali called "Convergencia/Divergencia". The video loop was part of a larger art installation, investigating, through a video/audio montage, the right wing government of Álvaro Uribe Vélez, and everyday life of Colombian society.

Kodachrome Dailies from the Time of Song and Solitude (Reel 2)

All the Kodachrome footage chosen to be worked with to make the film Song and Solitude during years 2005 and 2006. During that period I still had the great privilege to be shooting Kodachrome. My method for editing was to first select the footage I wanted to use from the original camera rolls and then make an internegative and work print of that selected material to work with in the editing. (In an earlier period, I did not have to first make an internegative, but could more simply make a work print directly off the camera original, but Kodak cancelled the reversal work print film stock.)

Eros Under the Swastika

This documentary combines rare archive footage with commentaries from contemporary eye-witnesses in a portrayal of the sexual morals of Nazism. According to this documentary, the controlled interplay of man and woman was an important component in the Nazi ideology. Immediately after their seizure of power, the Nazis banned everything that seemed suspicious and decadent from the revelry of the roaring twenties. Permissive morals, displays of nudity were forbidden and condemned. This documentary also includes footage from a pornographic film made during the Third Reich, interviews with a former League of German Girls group leader and a 90-year-old who used to live in Hamburg's red-light district.

Mizu Shobai (Water Business)

Mizu Shobai (Water Business) blends two stories, one of a geisha who is lost at sea and another of the first geisha to circle the world. The dual narratives collapse into a single female figure, a traveler through time and across cultures. Carried by the act of perception, the geisha drifts beyond the prescribed bounds of "her place" in the world. The Shogun's Seclusion Edict, effective during Japan’s period of isolation (1637-1868), states that foreign influence is punishable by death, so the geisha's passive observations become an active, fatal offense. Mizu Shobai, literally Water Business, is the Japanese term for the entertainment world. The phrase refers to liquor, sex, as well as the geisha's often maudlin lifestyle which “flows like water.”
