He has also changed pictures of her on the CD sleeve to show the US socialite topless and with a dog's head. A spokeswoman for Banksy said he had doctored 500 copies of her debut album Paris in 48 record shops across the UK. 2006 • 60 min
This film by director Mark Kidel about one of the world's leading makers of music programs features an illuminating documentary profile on one of the world's foremost jazz keyboard players and composers, along with an electric performance by the Zawinul Syndicate at the Point in Cardiff, Wales, 2004. Shot in an unusually intimate manner, the film communicates powerfully the immediate excitement of jazz as a no-holds-barred, risk-embracing adventure: the shooting and editing highlight the exceptional collective improvisation and musical dialog which characterize Zawinul's work. From a childhood in Vienna, to a move to the United States in 1958, Zawinul found success with the band Weather Report.

Andrey

Andrey

2006 • 15 min • Armenia
A short feature-documentary film dedicated to the bright memory of Andrey Tarkovsky - the great master of world cinema. In 1965 A. Tarkovsky visited Armenia, Geghardavank. It is hard to say what he has been looking for and what he has seen there. Fortunately has fixed (on occasion) several frames (6min., 35mm, b/w) from the visit of the greatest master in Geghardavank. Anyway, such frames provide an opportunity for connecting the past and the present by making new shootings and fulfilling the "gaps" which have been missed by the camera 45 years ago. What is the ideology? Indeed, what was Andrey Tarkovsky looking for at the church of the XIII century in such a rocky place? Probably, he was looking for God. ... because nothing else is significant in Geghardavank and around. Only the presence of God is felt in that place.

An excellent introduction to Hall's work, and to the broader social, political, and economic concerns that have shaped cultural studies.
