Gary (Gidone) Busch was pepper-sprayed and shot to death while holding a small hammer, though witnesses said he posed no threat. Their stories are tragic and the courage shown by the mothers heroic. As one witness says, "As long a there's a mother, we'll continue to fight."

In this documentary by the writer Lin Shuangbu, the passionate and busy sports spirit is expressed in many short cuts. The free entry and exit of time and space is close to the expression style of the stream of consciousness, and he expresses his life background, social movement, literary philosophy and growth background concisely and neatly. Of course, the technique of screen transition and fade-in is also extremely smooth and vivid. There is a sense of reality of video reporting, and the revolutionary character of social movement in pursuit of truth is also hidden in the editing features.

Albrecht Becker - Arsch Ficker, Faust Ficker

Albrecht Becker was one of the last people to have survived the enacted Nazi suppression of homosexuals, which started in 1933, with the implementation of Paragraph 175. Imprisoned in Nuremberg from 1935 to 1938, he then decides to enrol in the army. On the Russian front he starts taking photos. After the war he dedicates himself to his job as a cinema production designer and scenographer, working mainly with musical comedies. Becker had started to 'decorate' his body in 1943, practicing the art of tattoos and piercing and taking photos of his progressive transformations. The director puts the spotlight on the body of Becker with photographs resembling landscapes of a body which, by its constant mutations and history, left a mark on its century.

It's then on to Lexington and Concord, where citizens calling themselves "Minutemen" take up arms against the powerful, experienced British army of "redcoats." Outnumbered and outgunned, the Minutemen refuse to back down, and soon the evening's silence is shattered by the "shot heard around the world." On the village green in Lexington, the first shot of the Revolutionary War has just been fired!

The Happiest Day

A Victorian fairy tale told in the patois of an adventure video game, The Happiest Day is a journey back to a time that never was. Meandering through a cut-out computer-animated forest we come upon strangers enacting odd and playful rituals. These live-action sequences are loose reenactments of 1960’s and 1970’s performance artworks restaged in an Arcadian setting. The ecstatic jouissance of the original performances, with their primitivist nudity, shamanistic catharsis and pointed immediacy is re-located to a fabulous storybook world.

While planning the eventual DVD release for "1991: The Year Punk Broke", Dave Markey cut a 40-minute film out of unused footage to create a companion piece to include. The film was also shown to a handful of lucky audiences before the DVD's eventual release in 2011. It's an awesome bonus with tons of great footage that could have easily been in the film. These songs were probably the best to leave out of the full-length film, since 2 were brand new and still quite shaky. The only tour staple not accounted for in either film is "Mary-Christ". Hidden Gifts: The Mystery of Angus McPhee

Hidden Gifts is a creative documentary that explores the mystery of art and mental illness. It tells the story of Angus MacPhee, “the quiet big man” from South Uist, who wove clothes from grass. Diagnosed with schizophrenia in 1946 Angus was taken from his island home on South Uist to Craig Dunain psychiatric hospital among the hills near Inverness in the Scottish highlands. For fifty years he spoke not a single word to any member of the hospital staff. His presence was also an absence; his secret grass weaving his only form of expression.

Produced in 2004, Samba Trance & Rock'n Roll is producing and directing Rafael Mellin, with artistic direction of Marcellus Viana, Mellin and Julio Adler and soundtrack of Tony Mazot, Mulato Beat, Siri, Mugomango and home meal. The main stars are athletes Danylo Grillo, Marcondes Rocha and Bernardo Miranda. Mellin spent a year traveling with them to places like Indonesia, Hawaii and Mexico, and explore the Brazilian coast from north to south, including the archipelago of Fernando de Noronha. The production brings together the best highlights of the trip, highlighting the characteristics of each athlete and emphasizing the profile and testimonies of three comrades, drawing a parallel between different musical beats, styles and waves - and also rely on images from competitions.

Roberto Piva emerged in the São Paulo scene of the 1960s and shows how his life is completely linked to the poems he made.
