Anti-narrative experimental film, “1998” was filmed from Feb. through OCT. 1998. In different locations(Beriln, Paris, Daegu, Oksan) and out of the filmed reel, 15 short films were edited and screened at 16 frame/sec and 9 sec. at 24 frame/sec). The film mostly about family, family related places, unfamiliar sceneries that were seen while taking a walk with a friend, scenes of my hometown, Daegu, airport and streets of Paris while transiting a flight to Korea life of Berlin.

Stiltwalkers

A solitary fisherman carves and sketches to pass the time. But this day his drawings seem to have a life of their own. Fish fly off the pages and leap into the sea. An island appears on the watery expanse, and the poles around his boat begin to move ominously. His own creation seems to give rise to a strange, surreal and ultimately fragile two-dimensional world, guarded by a tribe of stiltwalkers.

National Anthem

Three male native speakers endlessly correct a woman's foreign pronunciations of English, French and Polish. It seems that the absolute pronunciation of the national texts is represented at its best in the cacophony of three languages overlapping female and male recitations of the anthems. These nonsensical exercises of the mouths problematize the meaning of certain politically charged words.

Elisabeth Schwarzkopf: A Self-Portrait

In this captivating film by Gerald Caillat, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, at the age of 80, looks back on her musical life and tells the story of her glittering career. The documentary contains accompanying archival footage as she narrates her life story, in English, through the various roles and performances that have shaped the life of one of the greatest of all singers. Schwarzkopf was one of the finest sopranos of her time. She was an outstanding performer both on the concert platform and in the opera house, where she memorably characterized such roles as Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), the Marschallin (Der Rosenkavalier) and the Countess (Le nozze di Figaro).

"The preparation for this video was primarily psychological - to create an atmosphere of expectations of powerlessness to induce a frame of mind resulting in the appearance of a drug induced state. The camera work acts as a controller manipulator producing a hostage-like situation within an isolated environment. The origins of this tape was inspired by the short 1949 film by Kenneth Anger titled "Puce Moment" in which a 'heroine', for most of the piece, elaborately prepares herself to venture outside of her house." - David Askevold

This documentary explains the story of United 93, which took off on September 11, 2001, from Newark Liberty International Airport, in Newark New Jersey. The flight was hijacked by terrorists and crashed as part of four coordinated attacks in the United States that fateful day. Containing real accounts from witnesses and family members of those on board, as well as acted scenes showing what likely took place inside the aircraft, this documentary is harrowing, heartbreaking and moving in every way. This documentary also reminds us to never forget 9/11/01 and all of the innocent victims we lost that day.

In July of 2001 she began this documentary as an extension of that dialogue. Using video, a medium at once grounded in the material world and allowing elusive access to fantasy and dreams, Since You've Been Gone chronicles the various universal stages of grief.

The world is a timeless and single organism, everything is animate, alive, inhabited by spirits you can talk to. This is how conscience is born and knowledge of the Sacred begins. The tropical jungle that runs along the Atlantic coast of Central Africa at Equatorial Guinea is the land of the ndowé, an ethnic group who understand the world as a set of invisible forces that interact with each other. According to the ndowé, there is an occult side to every element of reality and, for example, each plant has its own power, just as each person does. The nganga (witch doctor) is the mediator between the two realities, and the video show how he controls this whole universe of forces.

In film and related audiovisual forms according to Michel Chion the relationship between sound and image is primarily vertical, and the former tends to play a secondary role. This same applies, though inversely, to music videos, in which the musical structure sets the rhythm of the editing and all motion in general, regardless of the freedom of the images themselves. blinq questions such audio-visual relationships in a radical way. Billy Roisz had 10 musicians from Austria, Germany and Japan produce short electronic sound files. These fragments, some lasting only a few seconds, were then transformed into visual patterns by means of feedback loops which function as electro-acoustic impulses and then further manipulated.
