In his contribution, Garin Nugroho wants to show the importance of the new and the old harbour of Jakarta. In the harbour districts Keroncong Tugu (the old district) and Tanjung Priok (the present harbour district), multicultural communities have emerged that have opened up Jakarta society towards Europe and Asia. Nugroho uses archive footage to show that the heritage of the Portuguese who exploited Indonesia before the Dutch is for instance still visible in the existence of a Portuguese community with its own music culture. The development of the harbours is important for the future, but their history also has sad stories. For instance, Nugroho points out that many wars were started about who controls a port. In this third part of the series Enjouji and Ranmaru are a mostly-happy couple, but when Ranmaru finds lipstick on Enjouji, he becomes suspicious and leaves in a huff. Enjouji follows Ranmaru throughout the day. As they do so, the two men think about their past and their uncertain future.

An abstract work originating from experiments in the early 1990s, using bleach, ink and scratching directly onto super 8 film. The recurring circular image was formed by placing droplets of bleach onto each frame with a pin. The electronic music, made with Helliwell's prototype customised circuits, has layers of sound changing phase during the course of the film.

This 40-minute video was shot and edited in 2000 as a corner of an adult video package called "girlfriends Pure Girl's Document 14". As an adult video, the director personally shoot it for more than half a year, where normal shooting would be completed in 1 to 2 days, and the finished product has only about 2 minutes of erotic scenes in a 40-minute scale. In this work, I left the camera to Shinobu Kasagi and started by keeping a video exchange diary. Other girls wouldn't do that but Ms. Kasagi had the motivation and creativity to "make things", so she took pictures without the need for instructions.

Isolated for more than two millennia, they have kept their traditions, their customs, as well as their own dialect. In the middle of the desert, Siwa has a particular archaeological wealth: the oracle of Ammon and the true-false tomb of Alexander the Great. A manuscript, today untraceable, also tells that in Siwa they celebrated weddings between boys...

Jumonji's room, which is even more cramped and dirty than usual, is occupied by Torigai, a senior employee from his former part-time job, and a stray cat that Jumonji adores. Torigai's insistence that this room is covered in fleas because of the cat leads to the burning of a balsam, and the two, unable to stay in the room, decide to pass the time by taking a walk around the neighbourhood.

This short documentary covers the Johns Committee, started by Florida State Senator Charley Johns to weed out Communists and homosexuals. Florida State University and the University of South Florida did not cooperate fully with the investigations, but the University of Florida, under the direction of J. Wayne Reitz, did. Several prominent gay men and lesbians were left unaffected by the investigations, while others had their careers left in shambles.
