The author's reassurance and guidance concerning the process of writing—which has little resemblance to its glorified image—becomes a stirring call to action celebrating the potential of each individual, the silencing of our inner critics, and the courage to create something honest and meaningful. Poignant and inspirational, ‘Bird by Bird with Annie’ takes us deep into Anne Lamott's intoxicatingly brave world, one in which writing is a means of finding out who we are, how we live, and why we're here.

Stacey is an executive in a cosmetic and fashion company. Expecting a big promotion and crushed when her roommate, Lisa gets it instead, Stacey plans her revenge. Unknown to her boss and her fellow co-worker, Robin, Stacey has developed a shrinking ray with the help of Dr. Baines. She confronts Lisa first, shrinks her down to bite size and devours her. To eliminating any witnesses, Stacey eats Dr. Baines and then turns her attention to Robin and her boss, Trish. Each of them is reduced in size and then EATEN ALIVE!

"Spiders in Love: An Arachnogasmic Musical," while containing stylistic affinities with older work, also presented more extended and inter-relational riffs, as well as a more nuanced pacing.

She turns and runs back to her room to find a way to set free herself and someone else: what is this life-affirming action?

You live and spend your time, but what remains is the question posed by the coffin maker: pine or mahogany? In the case of the deceased aunt, the answer is clear in the opinion of the almost bankrupt gravedigger: the appropriate coffin is one made of mahogany with silver fittings, which the deceased tried on during her lifetime.
