The Criterion DVD extra ends at 33 min, the longer version has added fragments of parts 1 and 2 at the end.

British documentary takes a look at a few stories of the Titanic. Narrator/host Ray Johnson starts off talking about the actual sinking and then we break off into a few other subjects. Included are the various Titanic Societies from around the world and we get to meet a few of the people. They talk about why they're so fascinated with Titanic and tell a few of their personal stories.

Investigates the contemporary importance of the story of the Titanic, and the effects it has had on the lives of the many individuals still living. Walter Lord, author of "A night to remember", recalls some 26 stories survivors related to him personally and Eva Hart gives her own account of the events of April 14-15th, 1912. The Titanic tragedy represented, in its own right, the end of an era of arrogance and social discrimination in sea travel.

Slovenian experimental film by Vuk Ćosić. ASCII image conversion from the famous pornographic film Deep Throat. The author reduces the spaciousness of the image to a combination of black and green and a few different symbols. He is interested in the persistence of data, but it is also a more complex issue regarding the transfer of information. Video Deep ASCII plays with the boundary at which information disappears.

Song for Flower is a self-documentary in which she explores her own existence by pointing her camera at her family and friends. It is a film that will change the landscape of the venue after you leave the screening.

"The Peripatetic Device, two iron hemispheres with imprints of my feet in the middle of each, proposes another way of trying to understand one of the most perplexing human phenomenon - the leitmotif of walking and displacement. While standing on two balancing iron hemispheres and attempting to play the violin, I revisit the present and past memories that sculptured my body and my mind. In particular, I aspire to take the viewer on an uneasy journey that would allow him/her to contemplate on what is idiotic and paradoxical about our human nature. In order to forge my artistic and personal credo I need to question my current status quo and challenge it during a peripatetic exercise." - King Araya

Seven women, ages seven to ninety-five, discuss their ideas on the concept of female beauty. The women are not only diverse in their ages but also in their cultural and religious backgrounds. Each woman is asked the same set of questions and while their answers vary, a similar message is revealed.

"This peculiar instrument consists of two metre long prosthetic tongue whose one side is inserted into my opened mouth and the other one is sharply pointed like a warrior's sword. I also have a shiny helmet that encloses my brain and protects my face with two elegantly cut out metallic side sheets. And then imagine me, standing in the middle of the room and "exercising my tongue", stretching it, pulling it out, and perhaps inflicting pain upon myself while being covered by this ambivalently protective device while trying to pronounce inaudible words. As I am making my "beautifully threatening" instrument for the straight and correct (ortho) pronunciations of the words (orthoepy) right here and now, I realize that I am setting up conditions for the war. This war will be fought for the sake of "just words" and it will certainly require proper arms of justice - an elongated iron tongue and a defensive helmet." - Kinga Araya

The film is brilliantly directed with a high level of tension, as if it were a gag comic straight out of a live-action comic book. The ideas are seemingly cheap, but with a speedy sharpness and sense of style, they are even gorgeous. What makes the most of it is the orthodox story section, which carefully holds down the portrayal of the characters, and the "Is this really live-action?" It is probably the workmanship that spares no time or effort after thinking about it.

The 'summer generals' are the clouds that rise in the summer sky. The languour and excitement that one feels only in summer, are symbolised by the clouds that disappear so bravely and so fleetingly. The boredom and freedom that one feels only at certain times of life. The strength and vulnerability to the loneliness that only girls feel. The film succeeds in visualising these uncertain and subtle moods in a delicate way.

A man's frustration with his computer leads him to other ventures.

A celebratory documentary, with engaging scenes of fishing, cooking, dancing, cassava preparation, thatching a temple, spiritual ritual, music and dance all demonstrating the Garifuna link to the Carib-African past. Descendants of African and Carib-Indian ancestors, the Garifuna fought to maintain their homeland and resisted slavery. For this love of freedom, they were exiled from St. Vincent in the Caribbean by the British in 1797. Despite exile and subsequent Diaspora, their traditional culture survives today. It is a little known story that deserves its place in the annals of the African Diaspora. In first person Garifuna voices, this documentary presents the history, the language, food, music, dance and spirituality of the Garifuna culture.

The video Quest for History, is a quest for self knowledge. This presentation is a sampler of a much larger story which opens avenues for further research. It brings together personal stories, interviews, history, and memories. These fragments of interwoven conversations of aunts, uncles, sisters and cousins reveal their common link to two brothers who, in the 19th century, went in search of a transition from slave legacy to effectuate self-sufficiency. Through capturing the oral stories and weaving them together with her personal experience of life and travel the video expresses the tapestry of identity of one person and yet this work transfers to the viewer, a shared experience.
