In the 1990s, in Chengdu, various small traders and vendors bustled through the streets and alleys, each with their own unique style and distinctive calls, selling a variety of small goods. The camera captures these vendors, some of whom have been selling their wares on the streets for decades. They either turn their product information into unique songs or use rhythmic beats from the instruments they carry as accompaniment. These calls, sometimes near and sometimes distant, resound amidst the bustling crowd, showcasing the distinct characteristics of ethnomusicology. With the advent of globalization and rapid economic development, Chengdu is inevitably transitioning from tradition to modernization. Skyscrapers and modern commercial shopping centers are on the rise and traditional street vending will gradually disappear. This film documents the swan song of traditional street calls as they're slowly engulfed by the tide of modernization.

Director Preston McClanahan is joined by filmmaker Peter O’Neill—acting as cinematographer—to document this conversation with famed graphic designer Paul Rand. Shot on 16mm in the designer’s Weston, Connecticut home, the film finds Rand informally discussing such topics as design, art, modernism, and aesthetics. Rand is congenial but at times stiff and codgerly; old and set in his ways.

JavaNoir is a 6 minute 3D character animation created entirely with Macintosh hardware and software. The director and sole animator is Raf Anzovin, a 16-year-old homeschooled student from Amherst, MA. The 1.3 GB (uncompressed) QuickTime movie took more than a year to make, contains more than 11,200 frames, and required approximately 1250 man-hours of animation work and 800 hours of rendering time.

Sophie Calle often defines herself as a "narrative" artist. Her photographs are items of evidence through which she tells stories that are both ordinary and disturbing, using her own life and experiences as the raw material for reconstructions that hover somewhere between truth and fiction. The Contacts collection is an invitation to discover the artistic approach of the greatest contemporary photographers from an original angle. Through a series of images (contact sheets, proofs, prints and slides), with a commentary by the photographer, the viewer enters the secret world of their creation and is guided into the heart of the photographic creative process.

Zetcho is a feature shot on film, including the typical colouring of washed-out white and blue. Again Onishi brings together the couple’s problems, nature and brutalism, set against a colour-changing skyline or in small apartments. The structure of architecture and the one of nature. A cat hiding behind a car. While it all turns out to be a drama of killing and brutalism against women.

A home movie on permanent loop. Live action up for grabs. A family walk the walk across a field, disappearing into memory as they do. Who knows where the families go? In the countryside on a sunny day a family group repeatedly walk towards the camera. The ‘home movie’ is looped and the footage is digitally manipulated so that each time they pass, the family members steadily disappear, the landscape also appearing to 'withdraw'.

In this work the experience of driving a night is abstracted as colorful and energetic bursts and patterns of light in three dimensional darkness. The work was create using 35mm film stock by painting on clear emulsion with markers and paints, and also by painting onto black emulsion with diffrent dilutions of nitric acid. The original sound score is by Bill Haslett.
