This film looks back at Algeria's past, covering its fight for independence and its subsequent fight against itself, being one of the few films to capture civil war Algeria and its inhabitants on camera. The filmmakers talk to politicians from both sides, past revolutionaries, and most importantly civilians, whose lives were torn apart by the conflict.

Culticide in California explores the grim events surrounding the mass suicide of 39 members of the Heaven's Gate cult, led by Marshall Applewhite. This group held strange beliefs tied to the Hale-Bopp Comet. This documentary uses news footage to tell the story of how 39 people could all have such strong beliefs that they would chemically castrate themselves and die in the hope that a passing spaceship would pick them up.

Super-talented comic Ronnie Corbett pulls out all the stops to entertain a celebrity audience including on-screen sidekick Ronnie Barker, Damien Hirst and Frank Skinner in this 1997 special.

The reason for the creation of the tape was an amazing find. Artist Lydia Naumova, who worked with Sergei Eisenstein on the film "Ivan the Terrible", has preserved a unique collection of drawings by the master for the third, unfinished series of the film. This collection has not been published anywhere yet. The authors called their film "The Mystery of the Woman and the Beast", based on a well-known sign that appeared to the Apostle John. In their interpretation, the wife is the personification of a high and beautiful feminine principle. The beast is an obedient tool of Satan, called to do great deeds and deceive the living with them. Such an act was the revolution, one of the most powerful and passionate adherents of which was Sergei Eisenstein. And if in the films Eisenstein was irreconcilable and tough, then in his drawings he appears soft, uninhibited, human. Eisenstein's unknown drawings and rare photographs are juxtaposed in the film with fragments from his paintings.

Al Nakba: The Palestinian Catastrophe 1948 is a groundbreaking documentary film that comprehensively examines the events that resulted in the creation of over 700,000 Palestinian refugees and the destruction of approximately 400 Palestinian villages at the end of the first "Israeli-Arab war" in 1948. Thierry De Mey filmed Rosas danst Rosas in the former technical school of architect Henry Van de Velde in Leuven. The film version is much shorter than the show itself. In his film Thierry De Mey opts for a heavily ‘inter-cut’ version in which, apart from the cast of four dancers from 1995 and 1996, he also has all the other performers from the long history of the show dance along. He makes maximum use of the geometrical and spatial qualities of the Van de Veldes building. Incidentally, the building was thoroughly renovated straight after the film was made, making it one of the last testimonials to the original architecture. The film was shown on all of the major European television channels and also had a cinema career in the ‘art house circuit’.
