The musicians of the ‚Art Ensemble of Chicago’ have been performing their portrayal of jazz from past and present since 1967, not unlike a journey backwards in time aroused by an ancestral call to the myths of Africa. But what happens before their concerts? NULL SONNE NO POINT is the magnificent chronicle of the preparation for a concert and invites us into the very heart of the music, following the musicians backstage, at their rehearsals and moments of privacy and concentration, seeking the fluctuating emotions before the music begins.

Pings is a short film featuring cute characters in “politically incorrect” situations with an original graphics style. Two of these short films exist, this is the second one with the penguin.

It is a film that has as its object everything that one does not usually see when watching a film, but which is of essential importance for the projection: the perforations, the footer numbers, the letters and sometimes the emulsion that becomes the protagonist at the end of the film instead of the images recorded by the camera.

John Frusciante's performance during the second show of the Nuttstalk tour, his first solo tour which occured during his reclusive period in the 90's. He performed a few songs from his solo albums to a small crowd. The video was taped by Bob Forrest of Thelonious Monster, who also performed on the tour.

What darkness the film will have in No Night No Daywill not be connected to nature's night, equally light will be unconnected to 'day' as a lived concept and reality. A distension from any nature, including the nature of film, or the viewer's natural 'seeing', is probably closest to what my concerns with this film are.
