The film portrays the cultural history of beer brewing in Cologne from medieval times up until today with particular emphasis on region typical elements like "Köbesse", "Bierhäuser" and "Kölsch-Konvention". The process of brewing, from resources to drinkable "barley-juice", is documented within the traditional brewery Päffgen.

Untitled Fall '95 takes the form of a wryly humorous video diary of an art school student (sharply played by Bag) in the midst of “finding herself” in New York City. We can see the diarist physically and emotionally evolving throughout her eight semesters in the Big Apple. Such onscreen “confessionals” stem from the first major example of reality TV, The Real World. Interspersed throughout are commercial-like vignettes that further critique what it’s like to live in the world today. In Untitled Fall '95, Bag displays a profound self-awareness that evokes empathy on behalf of the viewer, despite her work’s glaring artificiality.

This film reflects the filmmaker's ambivalent feelings towards the new age of digital technology. As many as twenty picture elements per frame are composited by conventional and digital means. The resulting visual cacophony suggests a state of information overload.

Filmed from a choreographed eternal B and D triangle, old found erotic footage, optically printed and rear screen rephotograhped with a Matte Box, and hand painted. According to Stekel, in all of us is the will to power and the will to power and the will to submission; every pleasure is close to pain, and in all love there is some hate. So Are You is a 25 minute videotape about the difficulties of assuming ones self-identity. Identity is shaped and informed by the dominant culture, often producing stereotypes that are reinforced by the media. Through such structures racist behaviour is learned and condoned. So Are You uses unconventional structures and casting to criticize stereotypes. The eighteen cast members include Natives, Asians, Blacks and Whites. Paul Wong continues to explore the idea of self-identity by investigating gender boundaries through the inclusion of a set of identical male twins and two female impersonators who portray twins and two female impersonators who portray twins in the cast. The video uses recognizable television and cinematic framing devices to highlight the idea of the construction and dissemination of stereotypes through the broadcast news, cinema verite, interviews, etc. Comprised of short scenes, So Are You is faced paced and entertaining.

Slik Willy combines abstract animation, sound and spoken narration to tell a narrative story. The film uses hand-drawn animation and textures from 35mm transparencies. Final compositing was done using an optical printer.

Puss! The Booted Cat is an erotic short that laps up various incarnations of the classic fairytale Puss-In-Boots. The tale, popularized in 17th c. France by author Charles Perrault, is here transformed into a contemporary adventure of unrequited love, lands-titles-and-goods-to-be-conquered, identities-to-be-claimed, and feminine feline power. The heroine, who is both the woman Mademoiselle Puss and Puss the cat, battles loss and misfortune with irrepressible rebellious energies. At last she is able to relax in her throne of the Bubastis Queendom, enjoying music, dance, and a most unusual mushroom—it had once been the ogre whose vengeance is the catalyst of this particular episode in one of her nine lives. The film's black-and-white images, intertitles, nonsynchronous sound, low tech "tricks," and theatricalized acting style borrow from early cinema even as its modern day references, fast paced editing, and feminist sensibility place it paws down in the present.

Miss Chinatown juxtaposes the views of eight subjects against the background image of a beauty pageant: the Miss Chinese-Vancouver 1996. The subjects are all full or part ethnic Chinese, together they represent a diverse face of the Chinese-Canadian community, they present different perspectives on identity, home, sex and race. The contestants are seen going through the paces in the cheong-san (traditional side slit dress) segment of the live television spectacle.

A group of ancient Tibetan nomads live in the Qilian Mountains in western China. Their home is a tent made of yak hair. They change their location with the seasons — to allow their cattle and sheep to eat the best grass, while protecting the vegetation of the pasture. They stick to their traditional beliefs. The women chant scriptures from time to time while turning prayer wheels. In the evening, devout rituals are performed in front of small portraits of the Panchen Lama and the Dalai Lama. During migration, the families help each other pack their belongings and load them onto yaks; they ride horses, sing pastoral songs, and drive cattle and sheep along the ancient nomadic route. This film documents their journey — from the spring to the autumn. It is a spiritual and a practical life: Sheep are exchanged for yaks, wool for tea, fried noodles for money. Every cloud over the mountain has a divine nature; the sun and the moon are the Panchen Lama and the Dalai Lama. (Shot June 1995.)
