Judgment Day was a combination Halloween party, game developer convention, informal press conference, and entertainment event for the public at large organized by Microsoft and held on October 30, 1995 - also called "Devil's Night". Primarily organized by then-Microsoft employee and principal architect of DirectX, Alex St. John, the event brought together 35 game developers, including id Software, who were given centre stage for the event via inclusion of the finals for Deathmatch '95, a previously organized and officially sponsored DWANGO multiplayer tournament for Doom and Doom II. Doom95 would play a pivotal role in the event as a part of Microsoft's continuing strategy to promote Windows 95's potential as a gaming platform. The event also served as the official release party for Raven Software's last Doom engine game, Hexen: Beyond Heretic.

The painting has the subtitle "Princess M. Tenisheva", and tells about what it was like for Maria Klavdievna to create an art center in Talashkino, Smolensk province, the main goal of which was both the revival of national applied art and the formation of the "Russian Art Nouveau" style. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Center brought together many prominent Russian artists, musicians, and sculptors. The names of Roerich, Serov, Malyutin, Vrubel, Repin, Trubetskoy, Korovin, Prakhov and many others are associated with Talashkino.

Suburban Midnight Serial Murder Case (Prologue)

Early super8 location hunting sketches for what would then turn out to be the feature-lenght film "Squareworld" (1995), the sound recordings of this work where used in that film and in "Aquarium City" (1996). The original concept of "Suburban Midnight Serial Murder Case" was an over 5 hours long film that never actually developed into its final form, however its overall darkness and the core idea of creating a tale of complete darkness are to be seen as a prelude to the aforementionted 16mm films.
