Ranjang Yang Ternoda

Doni (Dicky Wahyudi), accountants topnotch, going out with Tesa (Gitty Srinita), the son of his boss. Love them sanctioned. Tesa was sent to Japan in hopes after return could take over the company together with Doni. Turns Doni not a man faithful. He flirted with Nina (Inneke Koesherawati), his staff, until the girl was pregnant. Nina should be removed as soon Tesa home and marriage by Doni. Nina almost died because of miscarriage. Luckily there Tati (Beautiful Cahyani), his best friend who is also staff Doni. While it was the company Tesa and Doni bankrupt. They divorced. Doni wanted to go back to Nina, but Nina refused. Doni met his death while trying to catch Nina. He fell from the roof.

In this film I utilized all the techniques that I had learned over the years and put them all into this film. I finally felt that my mission was complete regarding structures and that I could move forward and try other ideas. RUBATO provided the films sound track."

Sida propos (ou Paroles d'appelés)

In the context of the World Aids Day on the 1st December 1994, the French Ministry of Defence commissioned the producer Raymond DEPARDON to make a film to show to all new French military recruits called up for their national service, in which they gave their 'personal' views on the AIDS (Sida) problem. Each year about 240.000 young men are called to do their military service in the French Armed Forces. They remain in bases both in France and in French overseas territories, the film will be projected throughout these multiple installations. The 'on camera" interviews by Depardon were authorised without any form of restriction by the military authorities, selecting a scattering of young men from all walks of life who will spend 10 months under the flag. They were each free to give their own personal opinions related to the Aids problem, without any form of censorship.

Shades

SHADES explores the issues around dark and light skin in the African American community. Drawing on erotic imagery and the relation between a light skinned woman and a darker skinned Lesbian, this video questions what exactly is meant by "Black enough".

Khalil, Shaun, A Woman Under the Influence

Sharon Lockhart's debut film from 1994 is divided into three parts. All parts are linked in showing the progression of a devastating skin disease of two ten-year-old boys which is successively revealed to be the progression of a skilfully applied special effects make-up. Shot against coloured backdrops, the first sections show portraits of the boys who are introduced by preceding titles as Khalil and Shaun. The third section is a dramatic sequence based on one of the last scenes in John Cassavetes's film A Woman Under the Influence (1974). Lockhart refrains from reproducing the scene literally. Instead, she places and collapses several moments into one, amplifying the main theme of the film - the attempt to pretend that everything is okay. Shaun is presented with his face horribly disfigured by blisters and wounds. His mother's pledges of future happiness thus become rather ominous.

Strawberries Under the Snow

Two girls grew up in one family. One, named O-Tiyo, was a hard worker, she did everything around the house, fetched water, watered plants, carried firewood. And the other girl, O-Hana, was just sleeping, relaxing and enjoying life. And one winter the lazy woman wanted strawberries. They kicked the hard worker out into the street so she could get the desired berries. The girl was helped by a kind old mountain spirit - he created summer in the middle of winter so that O-Chiyo could pick strawberries for her sister. But she suddenly developed a new quirk - to try blue strawberries. Once again O-Chiyo was sent into the forest, and again the old spirit helped her find strawberries. But when O-Hana and her mother ate blue berries, they... turned into foxes. Based on a Japanese folk tale.
