A new boy moves into Pekkle's town, and is trying his hardest to impress Lucy; however, Lucy isn't interested in him. Lucy makes Pekkle out to be a better swimmer than he really is, and the new boy challenges him to a swimming contest.

In "McLuhan", Kerr recontextualizes a "question and answer period" for design students delivered by media theorist Marshall McLuhan at Sherdian College in 1975. Operating from McLuhan's own aphorism "the medium is the message," Kerr combines footage of the address with two scrolling texts in the borders, in one showing an asynchronous transcript that weaves around McLuhan's dialogue, and in another, reinforcing McLuhan's talking points like a ticker on cable news. It has the effect of sharply reconceptualizing the semantic and rhetorical values of the lecture in particular, yet also provides a fascinating perspective on McLuhan's own ideas and intellectual form of address.

The film tells a story taken from an old saga: Audun is a poor Icelandic Viking who wants to pay his respects to King Sveinn of Denmark in a grand way. He thus sails to Greenland, where he spends all he's got to buy a polar bear to bring as a gift to the Danish monarch. We then follow Audun's adventures in Norway, Denmark, Rome and then again in his homeland, a much richer man than when he left.

I made this film with the help of friend Timmi Harrop she graced the screen in this liquid like atmospheric industrial performance piece. Multiple exposures, water, and weird underwater cinematography shots that create the environment drowning the viewer in a symphony of sight and sound.

On a rainy day a child folds a paper boat and puts it into a puddle. A heavy downpour leaves the small vessel sinking. Three Gutter Pirates take over the boat.

Rave energy, a hardcore soundtrack and fast cut rave footage means this video captures the adrenalin rush and excitement of the club scene.

This tape was included with certain copies of the ground breaking computer game, "The 7th Guest".

Tholing Monastery (Tuolin si 托林寺) is the oldest monastery in the Ngari Prefecture of western Tibet. It is situated in Tholing (Zanda), Zanda County, near the Indian border of Ladakh — more than 1,800 km from Lhasa. It was built in 997 AD by Yeshe-Ö, the second King of the Guge Kingdom. In the Tibetan language, 'Tholing' means "hovering in the sky forever," and is reflected by the location of the monastery, which sits at an elevation of 12,400 feet. This documentary follows an old monk who spent his childhood at the Tholing Monastery, in the 1950s. In 1960, he fled to India, and in 1967 (during the Cultural Revolution), Tibetan residents from in and around Zanda County gathered at Tholing Monastery and demolished most of its buildings within a month. The monastery was allowed to resume Buddhist prayer activities in 1984; upon hearing this, the old monk left his life in India and returned to Tibet.

Dana Claxton uses low-grade video equipment to create degraded images that correlate the treatment of the earth with the treatment of women’s bodies. A figure stands enmeshed in cutting barbed wire among ravaged forests and chopped tree stumps. Grainy black-and-white images have been electronically ripped, cut and torn in post-production while repeated images of the artist’s open-mouth scream silently against a volatile red sky. A video work from the early 1990s continues to resonate in our contemporary moment—and with decades of missing and murdered Indigenous women across exploited lands.

"The sulphur-iron mine is located at the common boundary of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou province, with an area of 1774 square meters. The Yong Ning River originated from here, flowing northward 108 kilometers into the Yangtze River. The mine was established in 1950 and its products are mainly exported, with some concentrated uses within in the county. We found this place in the newspaper by accident; it's called Big Tree County. Many years ago, it was part of the forest along the Yangtze River. A sulphur-iron mine was discovered in the 1920s, which started large-scale sulphur smelting. Now the old way of sulphur smelting is ranking first in the country[sic]. On our second day there, in this remote valley in the southern part of Sichuan province with hundreds of thousands of people living there, we met a boy named Tan Cong. We then got to know his family, as well as a local school teacher, and some of the locals smelting the sulphur."

Chien Wei-ssu documents her and her friends' perspective, studying abroad in Ohio State University, being there taiwanese students keen of structuralism, Claude Levi-Strauss and Jean Rouch. She delves into women's relation to men, to women, to their own body, to the menstrual cycle, historical national identity, gender identity and sexuality. In the process, she captures the silence and displacement of living overseas, as well as the intense intimacy between friends. Waiting for a menstrual period that never comes becomes a metaphor of suspension and the freedom of living in another country.

This collaboration with painter Sang-Wook Cho produced a multi-layered visual and sonic portrait of New York City. The artists have concentrated on the sites where the city literally reflects itself, and on the rumble and surge of traffic and transport that is itself a type of constant urban soundtrack. Writes Cho, "Prolonged exposure and thirst may induce one to experience a mirage in the desert. The mirage is filtered through undulating waves of air. In this video, the mirage of the city is captured through its reflection in water."

In this film, his daughter provides an informative and intimate portrait of the artist, his influences, and his creative process.This film examines the life of the artist through the loving eyes of his daughter, Imogen. She traces her father's story of art from his father, to explore their rich family history, from which Gustav gained his most direct inspiration. This is a must watch for any lover of music, a personal and moving story of a musical innovator.

The second in Wang Haibing’s ‘Three Families’ trilogy (which also includes 1991’s Northern Tibetan Family and 2000’s Days in the Mountains) -- all of which won the Sichuan International TV Festival “Golden Panda” award in their years of premiere. This is the story of an ordinary farmer in the mountainous Xuanhan County, Sichuan Province, a place called Fankuai. The river flowing through Fankuai is called Qianhe, and upstream of the Qianhe River is the town of Bailixia. There is no road or electricity in the Bailixia area; and the only means of transportation is boats. The mountain people use the boat to carry their goods and freight their living supplies. Nowadays, though, a new road leads up to the mountain area — the boatmen’s livelihood may end with the opening of this road, and so the boatman and his family are faced with new choices.
