A young boy from the province goes to the city for the first time and learns about the urban life through the characters inside a jeepney.

“Having lived here for so long, enjoying the Sydney coastline, I wanted to pay homage to it. I’d always been intrigued by the intricate natural and artificial shapes of the city’s Eastern harbour (eg the Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf and Pyrmont) and its ocean headlands and beaches. I cut out shapes from the Gregory’s Street Directory as mattes, and different filters to heighten and highlight Sydney’s extraordinary beauty. I used a hacksaw blade on the edge of a cymbal as a soundtrack...a kind of metallic sound to connect with the watery surfaces...I literally composed the film as it was running in the projector.” (Paul Winkler)

BORING? Not this video! This one is great for the whole family. When Harold and Precious Dog drive to Branson to celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary, things happen that make old and young alike sit up and take notice. Take a salty old dog like Harold and his sweet wife, Precious, who knows how to handle him, and put them in Branson for the weekend, and you've got a leg up on a dog-gone good time. Precious is content to see a few shows and take in the sights, but Harold has other ideas. Harold's singing group, "The Doggie-Town Pipers", could be just a "bone's throw" from stardom if Harold can get someone to listen to their rendition of that great song, "Dogged If Ya Do, Dogged If Ya Don't", which went to number one on radio station "K9" located on Doberman street in downtown Dogtown. Complete with cowboy hats, sunglasses, and a yellow Lincoln convertible, these two real live little doggies scratch your funnybone and win your heart.

One of three documentary films made by Jiang Yue in Tibet, during his trips in 1991 and 1992. The film presents the only existing Catholic Church in Yanjing, and the history of the church -- the six priests from European countries who came to Yanjing between 1857 and 1950.

It was produced as a promotional video for the Daejeon Expo '93, showing images of South Korea's rapidly growing modern history.

A small Chinese restaurant is about to open tomorrow. Mr. Lee, an apprentice cook, is preparing the dishes and Kanematsu, a young waitress, is writing the menu by hand. Just as the preparations seem to be progressing steadily, the manager collapses. Kanematsu waits for a call from the senior waitress who has accompanied him to the hospital, and continues to write the menu silently under the broken fluorescent light. Then the phone rings, telling him that the manager will be sick tonight. And the night is over... The script and direction of the film are highly effective in making us feel the character of each of the characters and the gentle connection between them in the minimal time and space of just one night and almost only in the kitchen. The strength of the pictures in each scene is also worthy of note.

Even in death, he stalks me Ando is a timid boy who suddenly finds himself accused by his gloomy classmate Arai of breaking a promise he didn't make. The next day, Ando goes to visit him. The next day, he is told by a visiting detective that Arai has committed suicide. From that day on, the supposedly dead Arai begins to disrupt Ando's life. In a series of well-crafted episodes, Ando shows us the two things that ordinary people fear the most: "being a bit strange" and "being rumoured to be a bit strange". However, the film's humour, which is on the edge of psycho, such as Arai's vivacity after his death, leaves a strange taste that straddles the line between funny and scary.

For his own trauma, which he hates but cherishes. There is a man who was sexually violated as a child. He is troubled by the presence of another self, who appears before his eyes and reminds him of that time. The man hates the boy, but not completely, as he tries to control him by force but cannot. The boy silently adores the man. In the end, the two decide to live together in a world that is always looking for curiosity. The psychological symbols hidden here and there are not only rhetorical but also beautiful and striking enough as visuals to give a sense of sadness born of inevitability. The fact that the faces of the people are not shown clearly gives the film the effect of a scene from a dream.

Everything you see and hear is a toy box of horror. Like a flood of light, this collage of glittering images continues uninterrupted. The images, which unfold rhythmically without gaps, maintain a single image, from the elaborate props to the nondescript room scenes. There is a story to be told, but more than that, what emerges naturally is the smell of death and night. The smell is not only dark and frightening but also innocent, like a child's idea of mischief being carried out. This is because he has the sense to refer to Frank Zappa's "Lumpy Grape" as a reference. The original music is also pleasant, reaching the ear like a whisper of light particles.

This work is inspired by a truth of Jenny Holzer which says: „When something terrible happens people don't wake up“. This truth is questionable once the scenes from ruined Sarajevo are shown.

A deep zoom shot that plays with the definitions of sexe (sex or sexual organ) and thym (thyme), which rhymes with the English word time, creating a game with words and images.

This Nazi propaganda film "documents" the notorious Katyn Massacre, which took place in the Katyn Forest in Poland and in which thousands of Polish army officers, taken prisoner in the joint German/Russian invasion of Poland, were executed. The Russians said the Germans did it and the Germans said the Russians did it, but investigations completed after the war strongly suggested that it was the Russians who indeed committed the massacre.

A man returns home one day and comes across something that changes his life...

This remarkable film, seen through the eyes of one family, documents five years in the life of a South African tribe, the Ndebele, exploring their extraordinary art, culture and traditions. Tribe member Francina Ndimande is an internationally recognised mural artist, as is her daughter Angelina. Their work is commissioned by art collectors all over the world. The film explores the rituals and traditions associated with the rites of passage of both men and women. Francina’s son, Gerald, is featured as he embarks on his two-month initiation into adulthood, or "journey to the mountains of manhood", guided by his elder brother Erasmus. We also follow her granddaughter during her uguthombe, her two-year initiation into womanhood. The Long Tears also traces the history of the Ndebele defeat in war against the Boers over a hundred years ago, and their subsequent enslavement and mistreatment at the hands of the Boer farmers.
