Interspersed between clips of right-wing news broadcasts is footage of Brenda having her nipple pierced, in an homage to Sandy Daley's Robert Having His Nipple Pierced (1971).

Maya finds herself contriving to talk to Sascha at every opportunity. Soon, Maya knows that in dance, and perhaps in Sascha, she has found herself.
